Configuring Notifications
System Administrators can configure each of the three notification types - Personnel Alert, Supervisor Digest, and Training Team Digest - independently from the notification configuration screen.
Available Settings
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Enabled | Turns the notification type on or off without losing its configuration. Disabled types are never sent. |
| Cadence | Choose Weekly or Monthly for this notification type. A type cannot run both at once. |
| Send Day | For Weekly cadence, the day of the week the notification goes out. For Monthly cadence, the day of the month (1-31). If a chosen day of the month doesn't exist in a given month, the notification sends on that month's last day instead. |
| Send Time | The hour (UTC) the notification runs. |
| Training Team Email | Required for the Training Team Digest. Accepts one or more addresses, separated by commas or semicolons. |
| History Retention | How many days to retain a record of past sends for this notification type, from 0 to 180 days. |
Defaults for New Companies
When a company is first set up, the three notification types start with the following defaults:
- Personnel Alert - disabled, so an administrator can review and enable it deliberately
- Supervisor Digest - enabled by default
- Training Team Digest - enabled by default, initially sent to the company's registered administrator email address
Administrators can change any of these defaults at any time.
Verifying Configuration with Send Now
After changing a notification's settings, use Send Now to trigger an immediate run for that notification type without waiting for its next scheduled time. This is useful for confirming recipients and content are correct before relying on the automatic schedule.
Triggering Send Now does not change any recipient's regularly scheduled send date - it's a one-time verification run and does not disturb the normal weekly or monthly cadence.
Recipient Schedule
The Recipient Schedule tab shows, per person, when their next notification is expected to go out and the outcome of their most recent notification (sent, skipped because nothing was due, or failed).
